Mr. Viren has travelled extensively across the country and has almost 40 years experience of work in diverse fields including community-based natural resource management, ecology, water resources management, watershed development, wasteland development, joint forest management and pastureland development, livelihoods and decentralized governance, climate resilience and sustainable development, community awareness, training of government personnel, training for CBOs and NGOs, training and capacity building of local communities including women and children etc. Mr. Viren is highly experienced in project designing, capacity building, project management, monitoring and evaluation, action research, process documentation, policy advocacy and networking. He has vast record to his credit, documentation, thematic reports, papers, evaluations and assessments studies etc in print and electronic form. He is also academic supervisor of students of various institutions in the country, in the subjects related to natural resources, wildlife, livelihood, governance etc.
Through
his Citizen Science perspective, Mr. Viren is engaged in spreading
scientific awareness among common masses including women and children,
towards their natural resources and role in conservation.
